So I’m hated because I want pot to stay illegal.

I’m also hated because I don’t drink, smoke, party, or do any drugs.

Those totally lovable ‘stoners’ sure are nice!

I’m not a straight edge prude, but I have morals, and I have MANY reasons as to why pot should stay illegal. It is a mind altering substance and over time can cause brain damage. A good example would be people who are so called ‘perma-fried’. Have you ever met someone who was stoned out of their mind? And when they aren’t, they still pretty much are baked? Yeah, what happens is that they are starting to lose certain cells in their brain and the chemicals are starting to alter the way they think and overall make them slower. If I had the exact things, I’d post it. It is rather ignorant to think that, smoking weed, just because it’s ‘natural’, won’t do shit to you. That’s denying science right there.

So what if some religions use them? That doesn’t mean our already obese society should start using them and become MORE lazy. The pros I hear say that it will help America’s debt problems. Okay, cool, so let me tell you this, can one crop totally save America? And if it’s illegal in other countries, who the hell are we trading with? Pot head Aliens from Venus? That place is already smoked out, you can’t even see the mountains anymore!

Regardless, it’ll harm our society. If it becomes more accessible, younger and younger kids will start to use it, and it will harm their education. Our country already has education problems, we don’t need more. I heard today, that if people learned to use it in moderation, it may be fine. That may be, but, the majority of people will abuse it severely if it becomes legal. If you think it being legal will help you with harassment by the cops, think again. MOST LIKELY if you drive while being high, you become a threat to others on the road, and you can kiss your ass goodbye ‘cause you’ll be saying hello to a cold concrete floor, and a hefty fine. Not only that, you can only have a certain amount on you before you get arrested, which probably means, searches will be more frequent AND dealers will most likely have a lot of problems just as before.

I have had friends lose their minds to this plant and I wish I could have some back. I have a friend now who is so desperate for it, that he is picking up cans, looking in trashcans, and so on, for it. He seems to feel that he needs to be high to act normal. It’s quite sad. You may deny and accuse me of just blabbering a bunch of BS, but in the end, when it happens to you, you should think twice about what professional doctors and scientists, who study this, say.
